The reason I joined Halewood Art  Group is that ‘Art’ lets me be me . It is the step I need to take away from my main role as a full-time carer. Art has always played an important part in my life, from my art school student days to costume design in my working life.

I was taken a back by the warm welcome I got in my first week here. It is lovely to have the freedom to see and use different skills and learn from other like minded members. I tend to focus on drawing, pastels , pen and ink and collage, but i’m not adverse to using acrylics or watercolours
